Filip Molčan will be Head of Innovations at M2C

Filip Molčan, founder and CEO of software company Good Sailors, is expanding his role as Chief Innovation Officer at M2C Holding. His task will be to develop the use of state-of-the-art technologies in the field of complex building management and maintenance.
“We are in a unique time. I am convinced that the combination of AI, robotics and technologies around augmented reality will bring about a real technological and societal revolution in the coming years. We don’t just want to watch these changes, we want to create them. My main task will be to promote innovations in these areas throughout the entire holding,” says Filip Molčan, who remains the CEO of Good Sailors. The M2C holding acquired the company in May 2023 after a long-term cooperation.
Molčan’s team, whose domain is application development and testing, specialises in technologies that transform building management and maintenance services within M2C. These technologies bring customers increased operational efficiency, reduced costs and energy savings.
“Just as car manufacturing is transforming and you now need software engineers rather than engine development experts, so is the world of building management and the building itself. I believe that combining M2C’s experience in this area with our unique approach to development will create a unique mix that will allow us to break out of the ordinary and maintain our position as a market leader,” adds Molčan.
Filip Molčan, among others awarded the title “Creative Hero of the Czech Republic 2023”, has been involved in social entrepreneurship and employment of disabled people through Good Sailors for more than 22 years.
Physical or mental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, can be an advantage in software development. Developers at Good Sailors are working on the hit game Kingdom Come, among others: Deliverance II, developed a gas tank management system for Gas Storage and other systems within critical infrastructure, logistics and manufacturing. Also thanks to them, M2C is now setting up a new office in the US and is looking to expand into other markets.
In addition to his business, Molčan, 43, is a volunteer ranger at the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, where he also lives. “My life is dominated by technology and nature. I have been trying to show that these two things go together all my life,” adds Molčan, whose other great hobby is photography.
