The new trend of theft in retail stores. Bread instead of expensive perfumes.
Based on the analysis of M2C, which among the other things provides 241 guarding units in the retail chains throughout the Czech Republic, showed, that fundamentally changed the trends of theft in retail stores.
Compared to the past, when were popular thefts of more expensive range, for example - cosmetics, and electronics, today strongly dominated thefts of fresh or durable food.
More frequent are petty thefts, which aren´t the essential items in the total amount of losses.
Increased losses caused by organized groups, which mainly focused on stealing food in large quantities. There is greater inquiry and despatch.
In practice it works is that an organized group visits the establishment several times a day and the average value "purchase" is about 5 to 15 thousand crowns. M2C even revealed occurrence where the amount of goods, ready to steal, exceeded the value 60 thousand crowns.
It was changed the conduct of organized groups as well and become proffesionals. At the present They are well logistically organized and thefts are on base of order.
On the other side, the security methods were significantly improved. It is a combination of surveillance with remote monitoring, targeted staff training and the creation of specialized positions for detection of organized groups.

The analysis of M2C showed that the average number of seizures was 372 for the year 2014.
